Condensing boilers vs Combi Boilers: what are they?

Condensing boilers have been around for some time now, at least in the UK. They are 80-90% more efficient than non-condensing boilers. Which means, they are incredibly efficient, they can quickly heat up water for showering, bathing, shaving, but also, for central heating. So, if your boiler has finally had it, and you’re thinking of either a boiler repair or a replacement for your particular boiler problem, wait until you have heard more.

How do they work?
Condensing boilers simply use the excess heat that is produced by the coils inside the boiler, which are expelled as gas, to instead heat up the water then enters into the boiler ready to be heated. This means that before the gas burner heats up the water, it’s already warm. This means that your gas burners have to work less hard and thus, saving you money and taking less time to heat up the home or fill the bath tub.

Combi boilers
For your next boiler install, we recommend a combi boiler. Not only can you heat up your water using 30kW of power or more, but your central heating system will also get at least 20kW of power too. So, all modern combi boilers use condensing technology and thus, save you a month in both heating needs.
